3 Techniques That Create Inner Peace

Last week, I shared about my mother in law being so ill and nearly dying on us.

This stress and the juggling of horse care, family care, and care of friends, means more self-care. Yet as my friend Lana tells me, “You don’t take care of yourself. You just keep stretching yourself to care for more people.”

I think many of us care for others more than we take care of ourselves.

So how do we as busy women, who take on too much, and focus more on others than ourselves cope?

For me, it is the NeuroMindSHIFT™ process that I use over and over againto calm the chaos and help me to balance the crazy days.

3 NeuroMindSHIFT™
Techniques That Create Inner Peace

It isn’t noticeable to others that I am using these techniques. Yet every hour, I pause 2 or 3 times to create the APB as I shared last week, but I also do 2 other NeuroMindSHIFT™ techniques.

As I take my breaths I relax the 3 areas in my body where many of us carry stress. As I exhale with the APB I relax my jaw, my shoulders, and the tension in my hips and legs, especially if I’ve been sitting at my computer for a long time.

I do this with my 3 – 5 breaths until I find my body and my mind are more relaxed.

If I find I still feel tension in my body I may get up to walk around. You see in times of stress the body prepares itself to fight or run. Therefore, the blood flow increases to your arms and legs to help you in this process.

That’s why when you get up to walk around and shake off that tension by moving your arms and legs your brain begins to believe that you are ok, there is no threat, the tension begins to decrease, and you feel more relaxed.

It’s Your Turn

This week make a commitment to consciously stop once every hour to put out the APBrelax the 3 areas of your body that are holding tension and stress, and shake off the tension and stress.

I like to do this to Taylor Swifts song, “Shake it Off”, but if you are in a busy office or service industry, you might want to think twice about dancing around to Taylor!

Be sure to watch my Facebook Live on Thursday night at 7 as we use these techniques within the labyrinth to Calm the Christmas Chaos and reconnectto the true meaning of the season! A time to embrace inner peace, hope, love and joy.

See you Thursday and remember, there is a greatness that lies within you, tap into that by creating a NeuroMindSHIFT in your day, to create harmony from within.

Blessings and cheers,
Sharon
