Are you struggling to reach your goals or resolutions?
Happy New Year! Yes, I know we are well into it now. I hope 2018 brings great health, prosperity and peace to your life. Yet many are already feeling the anxiety of a dropped New Year’s Resolution or struggling to keep going with one. The key that many forget to transform your struggle to success is… Remember to reward your successes!
If you began a goal on New Year’s Day, by today you should have celebrated small milestones at least twice. Yes, when trying to achieve a new goal it is important to mark a small step of confidence for moving in the right direction. This increases your chances of continuing with your commitment. Success breeds success!
If you have not downloaded a free e-copy of my book “Creating Harmony from Within” to your phone or computer, go to my home page, sharoncampbellrayment.com and enter your information to receive the book. If you go to Chapter 29 it takes you through a great process for goal setting and one of the essential steps is rewarding your successes. It doesn’t have to cost money, it can be as simple as calling a friend to share a coffee, or it can be buying a small, or even large item, whatever motivates you and doesn’t stress you financially (that’s a whole other goal of creating abundance from within post-Christmas).
Another step to success in achieving your goals and dreams. Ask for help. Don’t keep it to yourself because your ego says you will fail and be embarrassed. Yet, I would certainly ensure that the person I asked to help me reach this goal is positive, motivational, and believes in your dream. There are many who will criticize and not support you in your journey. Choose wisely and remember to thank them frequently for journeying with you.
Lastly, expect a setback or challenge or two. Think what might happen to sabotage you along the way. Oh, I know, this is counterintuitive and not what you will usually hear, but stuff happens, things go sideways, the unexpected happens. What will you do to keep yourself going when it gets tough? When something you didn’t expect happens? It’s not about being negative. It’s about being prepared.
Success doesn’t just happen. Walt Disney went bankrupt 5 times before he built Disneyland. Thomas Edison failed 1400 times before inventing the light bulb. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times, but he also hit 714 home runs and that is what he is remembered for. I don’t say this to defeat you but to uplift you! When you are down just remember, “This too shall pass” and success is just around the corner.
If you have a dream you are working towards and you are looking for someone to support and guide you along a process that will ensure your success, the horses and I would be honoured to accompany you step by step (or hoof by hoof) on the journey.
